January 24, 2023 - Proverbs 24:13-14
“My child, eat honey, for it is good, and the honeycomb is sweet to the taste. In the same way, wisdom is sweet to your soul. If you find it, you will have a bright future, and your hopes will not be cut short.” Proverbs 24:13-14 NLT
Lord, we thank you for your wisdom. We also thank you that you give it freely and abundantly to anyone who asks. What a wonderful gift. Your wisdom is good and sweet. Unlike sugar, it will not turn our stomachs or make us unhealthy if we eat too much. So, we ask that you fill us up and keep us full. We want to indulge in it. Let it be something we crave like sugar. We want to dig into your Word to find more. Open our eyes to see new revelations that you have hidden for those who take the time to seek them out. We want to take the time to listen to, read, and study what others have to say to grasp all that you have for us. Make your wisdom something that we have such a desire to search out. Show us the best places to look and open your treasure chest of revelation to us.
Lord, we thank you for all that comes with wisdom. We praise you for the bright future that it will lead us to. We praise you that you have such great plans for us, and you want to see us walk in all that you have. Wisdom will help us make that journey into your plans. Give us the courage to step forward with you. Lord, we also praise you that this says when we walk in your wisdom our hopes will not be cut short. What a beautiful promise. We praise you for seeing our deepest hopes, desires, and dreams. You know what we need, want, and what will fulfill us even more than we can understand. We thank you that your desire is to see us fulfilled. You can make that a reality more than anything else. Increase our wisdom and show us how to walk forward in life with you into all that you have for us.
In Jesus name, amen.
