January 23, 2025 - Revelation 19:11-16
“I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” Revelation 19:11-16 NIV
Oh, Jesus, for the day when we can see you in all your glory and bow before you in reverence. What a powerful sight John saw. You are Faithful and True. With justice you judge. You are a just God. We will all face your judgement, and we will all fail to measure up. Help us to live in a way that when we stand before your judgement seat and give account for our every motive and action, we will know that we gave our all to live righteously. We praise you that your death and shed blood have made a way to cover our failures. How wonderful you freely offer everyone redemption. We pray for a greater understanding of this reality now, before it is too late. You are the KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS. Help us to live like you are truly our Lord and King. We want the nations of our world to declare you their King and Lord. Before your judgment day, send revival to our world like we have never seen before. Use us to shine your light and hope to those who don’t know you as Faithful and True. Let our lives, priorities, beliefs, motives, and actions mirror you, Jesus, so the world can see you in us.
In Jesus name, amen.
