January 20, 2021 - 1 Chronicles 4:10
“He (Jabez) was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request.” 1 Chronicles 4:10 NLT
Lord, we thank you that you are in the business of granting our requests. Thank you for how you love us and long to bless us. Today, we want to pray this same prayer that Jabez prayed over his life over our lives. We ask that you bless us. We ask that you open the flood gates of heaven and allow the blessing to rain down over our lives. Lord, we also ask that you show us how to align our lives with the outpouring of your blessings. If there is anything that we can control that is causing a blockage on what you want to pour out, open our eyes to it and show us how to remove it. We want to be able to receive all that you want to bless us with.
Lord, we also ask that you expand our territory. Give us a greater place of influence to make your name known. Give us the wisdom, love, humility, patience, perseverance, righteousness, and any other needed attribute to help us walk successfully in an expanded territory. Do your work in us so that we are strong enough to handle all that comes with an expanded territory. Help us grow our roots deep in you so we can sustain the growth you want to bless us with.
We ask that you would be with us in all that we do. Like Moses, we say that we will not move forward without your presence with us. Lead us and guide us in all that we do. Open our eyes to see you more clearly. Open our ears to hear and know your voice. Open our minds to understand your ways. Take us deeper into knowing who you are and who we are in you. Lord, we also ask that you keep us from trouble and pain. Give us wisdom and guidance to stay out of trouble. Help us not to cause trouble or pain for others either. Let our life be a blessing to you and the world around us.
