January 16, 2022 - 2 Timothy 3:16-17
“God has transmitted his very substance into every Scripture, for it is God-breathed. It will empower you by its instruction and correction, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness. Then you will be God’s servant, fully mature and perfectly prepared to fulfill any assignment God gives you.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 TPT
Lord, we are so grateful for the treasure that your Scriptures are to us. They are so much more than just a book of good advice or inspiring stories. You have given us so much more than that. You have given us a piece of you. I love the way that you express it in this verse. You transmitted your very substance into every Scripture. Each Scripture contains a part of you. It contains your power. It contains your breath. The very breath that can breathe into the dirt and make it come to life. Lord, we thank you for the power that you have given us in the Bible.
We ask you to teach us how to use it in the way that you intended us to use it. Show us how to release its power into our lives. We want to allow it to empower us for the life that you have called us to. Lord, we invite your instruction and correction into our lives through it. Allow it to give us your strength and guidance to always make the right decisions. Let it guide our every step and take us so much deeper into the path of godliness. Give us an overwhelming desire to dig deeper into your Scripture and allow it to transform who we are into who you designed us to be.
We want to allow it to mature us. We want to allow it to transform us into humble servants who are filled with your power. Servants who don’t care if their name is ever known here on earth, but in the spiritual realm is very well known. We thank you for the promise that it will perfectly prepare us to fulfill any assignment that you give us. We claim that promise over our lives today.
In Jesus name, amen.
