February 9, 2024 - 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:16-18

“Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NLT

Lord, we do ask that you would fill us with your joy. Help us make the decision to choose a joyful attitude regardless of how we feel or what our circumstances are. Let your joy overflow out of us and never run dry. Let us stand out because of the joy we walk in.

We also ask that you help us learn to continually pray. Let talking with you be a lifestyle that flows from us and not an obligation. Let our thoughts be on you continually and our conversation with you be constant. Help us deepen our relationship with you. We want to see you as a friend who is always with us, and we are always in conversation with.

Lord, we declare how thankful we are for you and your love for us. We have so many reasons to be thankful, regardless of what we are going through. We thank you for always being with us. We thank you for how you protect and care for us. We thank you for leading our every step. We thank you for how you provide for our every need. Lord, we ask that you open our eyes to see more ways that you love us. Help us take the time to notice and acknowledge the little things you are constantly doing for us. We realize that we deserve none of what you give us, but you choose to give it anyway. We have so many reasons to be grateful. Help us not take things for granted but learn to always give thanks.

Lord, we thank you for all the plans that you have for us. We thank you that we do belong to you. Help us remember to walk in these three things. Help us to constantly choose to do them, even when we don’t necessarily feel like it. For you are so worth it.
