February 27, 2024 - 1 John‬ ‭4:4

“Little children, you can be certain that you belong to God and have conquered them, for the One who is living in you is far greater than the one who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4 TPT

Lord, we thank you so much for the fact that you are the Almighty God. There is nothing in this universe, or beyond it, that is more powerful than you. You created everything and nothing is greater. What an incredible privilege it is to be known by you. We are honored to serve you.

It is mind blowing that you would choose to make your home in us. You reside with us - within us. You can’t get any closer to us. We are so amazed by this fact. The God over everything chooses to not just know us but live in us. You have adopted us and you call us your own. We were designed by you and are cherished by you. We belong to you. We are a prized possession of the Almighty God. Just, wow. This is just too wonderful. We can’t say how grateful we are for how you choose to love us.

Lord, help us understand your love. Help us understand what it means to be adopted by you. Help us understand the power that resides within us and that we have access to. You are always an overcomer. Nothing can defeat you. You always win by a landslide. And it is you that calls us your own. Lord, we stand with you within us. We never stand alone or face any giant alone. There is nothing that can defeat us when we are with you.

Grow our faith. Teach us to trust you more. Teach us how to fight with you and how to not do everything in our own strength or try to overcome in our own way. Teach us to listen to your voice and obey. Show us how to fight your way. Anytime the enemy comes against us, help us remember that with your help we can overcome. We thank you for the power that resides within us. We thank you that it is so much more than the power and ability of the enemy.
