February 25, 2024 - Romans‬ ‭8:26

“And in a similar way, the Holy Spirit takes hold of us in our human frailty to empower us in our weakness. For example, at times we don’t even know how to pray, or know the best things to ask for. But the Holy Spirit rises up within us to super-intercede on our behalf, pleading to God with emotional sighs too deep for words.” Romans 8:26 TPT

Father, we thank you so much for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Thank you that you didn’t leave us here alone but gave us a part of you to help us live a righteous life. Holy Spirit, we thank you so much for how you are with us. We thank you that you are not disappointed by our weaknesses. We thank you that you don’t find our human frailty as something that is untouchable. We don’t have to try to clean ourselves up or try to hide our weaknesses and shortcomings. Thank you for meeting us right where we are.

Thank you for how you empower us in the places that we are weak. When we can’t do it by ourselves, that is just the moment that you come in and make things possible. Help us learn to turn to you in those moments. Grow our faith in trusting that you will come through even when we can’t.

Holy Spirit, we also thank you that you are here to help us pray. When we don’t know exactly how to pray over a situation, you do. Even in the times that we feel distraught and if all we have is sounds and cries, thank you for turning those sounds into prayers. We thank you that you are here to catch our every tear. We thank you for being our comforter. Thank you for teaching us and helping us walk righteously. Grow our relationship with you and help us learn to turn to you more often for your help. Help us always remember that we are not alone, but that you are always with us.

In Jesus name, amen.
