February 23, 2025 - Exodus‬ ‭33‬:‭16

“For how shall it be known that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people? Is it not in your going with us, so that we are distinct, I and your people, from every other people on the face of the earth?” Exodus 33:16 ESV

Lord, we want to stand out as different from the world around us. We want to reflect you into the world. We cannot do that without your help. We need you to go with us everywhere you send us. We can’t reflect you if we are not with you. We can’t be a light to the world if we are not filled with your light. Help us have a greater understanding, like Moses did here, of our desperate need for you. Anytime that we get the mindset that we can do something on our own or that our way is better than yours, please remind us of the truth. If we want to stand out as your favored, we must be walking in your ways.

We praise you that when we are walking with you and in your ways, you do pour your favor out over us. You bless us with your presence. Thank you that when we spend time in your presence, you work in us to make us more like you. You polish us so that we can reflect your light and glory to the world around us. You make us look different. You do this for your glory so that the world will see a different and better way. You want to use our lives to draw them to you. What an amazing blessing to be used by you like this. Help us to constantly live in a way that we are always carrying you with us, always seeing your favor around us, and always being a shining reflection of your light to those around us.
