February 22, 2025 - 1 Samuel‬ ‭2‬:‭9

“He will guard the feet of his faithful ones, but the wicked shall be cut off in darkness, for not by might shall a man prevail. 1 Samuel 2:9 ESV

Lord, we praise you for how you guard us. You are our warrior. I think of how good earthly parents guard their kids. They will do everything in their power to keep them safe, including sacrificing themselves. How much more do you do everything in your power to guard us. Forgive us for the times when we listen to the lies of the enemy that tell us anything different than this truth. Even when it looks like you didn’t guard us, when bad things happen in our lives, we can still trust that you are guarding us. We praise you that your love for us is more than we will ever comprehend here on earth. We praise you that we don’t have to prevail on our own. We never will do that, but if we are one of your faithful ones, you will cut off the wicked and you will cause us to prevail. We stand on this truth. Remind us of this verse when we feel like we are surrounded and about to be overcome. We are not alone, and you are fighting for us!  Thank you, our wonderful, loving Father!
