February 19, 2022 - Psalms 8:3-6, 9
“When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers— the moon and the stars you set in place— what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor. You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority— O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!” Psalms 8:3-6, 9 NLT
Lord, you are so majestic! We can see your glory all throughout the earth. Thank you for giving us such beautiful scenery to be surrounded by. We praise you again for your creativity. You have given us such treasures to explore and discover. You certainly didn’t want us to be bored here on earth. You are so awesome.
It is so remarkable how you have set everything up to work together so perfectly. It is unbelievable that some think that all of this happened by accident. When we look at the heavens and see how our moon stays in perfect orbit to control our tides, causing the waves to roll in and out. All working together so wonderfully. We look at the sun at the perfect distance to set our temperatures as it needs to be for us to live. It is wild how you created everything to work with such detail. As David states in these verses, with the vastness of all your creation, how did we get to be the honored creation?
Lord, we thank you for your love and care for us. We praise you that you have crowned us with glory and honor. Help us learn to walk in all that that means. Help us to understand the authority that you have placed in us. We don’t want to live in a manner that is less than what you designed. We want to walk out all you have for us. We praise you for the plans you laid out for us. You are so amazing to us. We praise you with all that we are. You are so worthy, our Awesome Creator!
