February 16, 2024 - 2 Kings 6:15-17
“When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. “Oh, sir, what will we do now?” the young man cried to Elisha. “Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!” Then Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.” 2 Kings 6:15-17 NLT
Lord, today many Christians become uncomfortable when things start getting too supernatural, but you are supernatural, and you operate in the supernatural. Open our minds to any place in our lives where we have pushed things that we need to acknowledge into the “too crazy” category. If Satan can blind us and make us uncomfortable with the supernatural, then we give him free rein to get away with things that we have the power to stop. Lord, forgive us for any place in our lives where we have allowed this to happen. We acknowledge that you are the same God that we read about in the Bible and the same things that happened in the spiritual realm then are still happening now. Help us learn to not discount something because it makes us uncomfortable, or it can’t be explained in the natural.
Like Elisha prayed for this young man to be able to see past the natural, we pray for you to open our eyes to see what is happening in the spiritual realm. Show us what is happening around us with Your army and Satan’s army. We want to be Christians who see the impossible happen as we walk in the authority and power you have given to each of us. Open our eyes to see and our minds to comprehend. Teach us how to walk in your authority and power. Make us warriors who change the spiritual environment around us so that we can see a great harvest come to you.
In Jesus name, amen.
