February 14, 2025 - Romans 5:5

Lord, we praise you that you and the hope that you bring are not a disappointing fantasy. Your love for us is perfect and endless. Love from other humans will always have moments of disappointment. At times even the person who loves us most will disappoint us, but not you, our Lord. We praise you for the way that you love us. We praise you that no matter how the world would rate our “love life”, the truth is we were chosen by you, and you love us perfectly and entirely. We are made whole in your love.
Today, on a day that our culture focuses on love, let us not forget to honor the one who loves us more than any other. We praise you for the way you love us unconditionally even when we constantly fail in loving you. Even when we time and time again make choices that bring you pain, you choose to give your life to make a way to draw us near to you. How amazing you are! Holy Spirit, help us to understand the grandness of your love. Reveal to us more of the cost of that love and how deep it runs. Help us learn to return love back to Jesus, the Father, and you in a wholehearted, sold-out way. Remind us today that you are really right here with us and longing for our love and attention. We want to take the time to honor you today as the one true and pure Love that sees us as the apple of your eye. What a privilege it is to be loved by you.
