February 14, 2024 - Hebrews‬ ‭13:5b-6

“For hasn’t he promised you, “I will never leave you, never! And I will not loosen my grip on your life!” So we can say with great confidence: “I know the Lord is for me and I will never be afraid of what people may do to me!”” Hebrews 13:5b-6 TPT

Lord, we thank you for how faithful you are to us. The Bible is full of promises you have made to us and you always keep your promises. We can put our trust in that. We praise you for how wonderful you are. You are the perfect father. We praise you that you will never leave us or forsake us. You hold us in your hand, and we will always remain safely there. We will never be overlooked or forgotten. Your love for us will never go away. We are your cherished treasure and hold high value to you. Thank you for how you love us unconditionally.

Father, it is that love that makes trusting you easy. It is that love that allows us to walk confidently in who you say we are. Grow our understanding of your love for us. Remove any blinders or lies that have kept us from the truth of your love. Help us lower our defenses any place where we push your love away or won’t accept it. We invite you to come and encounter us with your love in a way that it changes who we are and puts our confidence deeper in you.

Lord, I pray that as we begin to walk in that confidence more and more that we would become bolder and bolder for you. Give us your heart for the lost. Help us be a bold example of your love for the world around us. Help us learn to shine the light of you and your kingdom brightly, even when it looks very different from our culture. Help us to be able to truthfully say with great confidence: “I know the Lord is for me and I will never be afraid of what people may do to me!” Let us boldly live our lives to bring glory to your name.
