February 1, 2024 - Song of Songs‬ ‭4:8

“Now you are ready, my bride, to come with me as we climb the highest peaks together. Come with me through the archway of trust. We will look down from the crest of the glistening mounts and from the summit of our sublime sanctuary, from the lion’s den and the leopard’s lair.” Song of Songs 4:8 TPT

Jesus, our bridegroom, we can’t wait for the day that we can stand before you and see you face to face. Until that day, thank you so much that you have not left us here alone. Thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit, who will help prepare us to be a pure and spotless bride. We want you to look at us and see a pure bride that is pleasing to you. Holy Spirit, we invite you to purify us. Help us be ready for the wedding. We don’t want to be the bride who fell short and wasn’t ready when the groom came for us.

Jesus, we answer your call to climb to the highest peaks with you. We want to go with you anywhere you want to take us. Jesus, we say, “yes, we will go through the archway of trust with you.” We can trust you will be with us and make a way with whatever you ask. We thank you that even if we are in the lion or leopard’s lair, we have no reason to fear for you are with us. You are our protector and defender.

Jesus, we want to look down from the crest of the mountain and survey all that you have laid out before us. Thank you that you designed a sanctuary for each of us that is full of beauty and grandeur. It will leave us in awe. We long to rest in this place of beauty with you. Help us learn how to hide away in our sanctuary with you even while we are here on earth. We answer your call with a resounding, “YES, we are coming, my love!”

In Jesus name, amen.
