December 9, 2024 - 1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭55‬-‭58‬

“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” 1 Corinthians 15:55-58 NLT

Jesus, we praise you for the victory that you have given us through your death. We don’t deserve the price that you paid. Your love is so deep and unbelievable. Help us learn to believe and accept it in the core of who we are. Let it change us. Holy Spirit, come and do your work in us.

Jesus, you are so mighty. Death could not stop you. The Devil is no match for your power. You have overcome both sin and death, and you live in us. Wow. You have paid the price for our sin. We no longer need to fear death, because our sins have been forgiven. Through death here, we only transcend to an eternity with you. We praise you that through your death you have set us free! Teach us how to stand on that fact. Help us to understand the victory you have bought for us over sin and death and help us to live in that victory. Teach us how to be strong and immovable in our faith. We want to live fully in the freedom you have bought for us. We are so grateful for it. We praise you for all you have done for us. We can never repay you and we thank you that you don’t require that, but we want to thank you by living for you. Lead us in living a life that brings you glory. Help us to live it enthusiastically, bringing honor to your name.

In Jesus name, amen.
