December 9, 2023 - Psalm 143:10
“Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.” Psalm 143:10 (NKJV)
Yes, Lord, teach us to do your will. We want to follow you in all we do. Find our thoughts, motives and actions pleasing to you. Open our eyes to places in our lives that are not lining up to your ways. Help us to grow in the areas that we need to grow in. Increase our desire to put your will above our own. Holy Spirit, we invite you to make it clear when we are doing things that are not what you desire for us. Help us run from sin and selfishness. We want to put you and your will first in our lives.
We give our lives to you fully. You are our God. You are worthy of our lives, and we gladly lay them at your feet. We say have your way in us. We will follow you even if it means taking the hard, narrow road that few travel. Even if it makes us unpopular, let us always choose to follow you. We would rather walk after you alone than go with the crowd without you. Our lives are empty without you. You give us purpose. Following you truly is a joy. You are so good to us.
We thank you for how you walk with us. You lead and guide us. You have given us your Spirit to help and support us through life. Father, we thank you for this amazing gift. Holy Spirit, lead us to becoming the people we were designed to be. Help us live upright lives in all we do. Help us to truly fall in love with you. Help us live our lives for you behind the scenes, even more than we do in front of others. Let everything we do flow out of our love and relationship with you. Holy Spirit, teach us how to have the most amazing relationship with you, Jesus, and the Father. We want to know you and be known by you. Let all we do be for your glory.
