December 9, 2021 - Exodus 33:14
“The Lord replied, “I will personally go with you, Moses, and I will give you rest—everything will be fine for you.”” Exodus 33:14 NLT
Lord, you are truly an amazing God to serve. Your love for us is remarkable. Thank you for how you treasure us and keep guard over us. Thank you for how you fight for us. You care for our every need. You supply us with rest and peace. Lord, if we are not seeing those things in our lives, show us what is out of alignment and what we need to realign to have those free-flowing blessings from you. Lord, we thank you that even though you never promised us that our life would be without pain or struggle, you promise us that you will go with us. Thank you for helping us walk through whatever we face. Thank you that even if our circumstances can look terrible and stressful, you will give us peace and strength to make it through.
Lord, we thank you for the promises of this verse. Thank you that you have promised us to personally go with us. That is so awesome. We have the God over everything - the all-powerful, all knowing, omni-present and loving God – personally going with us. What an honor. How can anything defeat us if we allow you to do your job? Lord, help us learn to trust you more. We want to leave things in your hands. We don’t want to take it back from you to try and handle things ourselves. We will mess it up. Teach us to leave things up to you and learn to rest in knowing that you have everything under control.
Lord, help us learn what it really means to rest in you. Teach us to be people that even in chaos, craziness, and the unknown, we are calm and rested - not just on the outside, but deep down to the core of who we are. We want to trust you on that level. Thank you that you do have us in the palm of your hand, and you don’t miss anything that happens to us. Thank you for promising that everything will be fine for us. We can trust you on that. In the end, we are on the winning side. Victory is ours. It is wonderful to serve a God so capable that we know will always come out on top. Father, thank you for all you do for us and how you love us.
In Jesus name, amen.
