December 6, 20212 Corinthians 3:16 & 18
“But the moment one turns to the Lord with an open heart, the veil is lifted and they see. We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:16, 18 TPT
Lord, we thank you so much that you have torn the veil. We are no longer separated from you. How amazing. What an honor. We praise you for this fact. Thank you for opening our eyes. Thank you for allowing us to see you. Thank you for allowing us to draw near. We ask that you help us continue to press into you. We want to be closer and know you more. We want to see more clearly. Help us remove anything from our lives that keeps us from seeing you clearly.
Lord, we want to be a mirror who reflects your glory clearly into the world around us. We want to make sure that it is polished up and clean so that it reflects well. We don’t want to allow things to dirty us up so we can’t reflect you well. When we do get dirty, help us be quick to ask forgiveness and do what is necessary to get things clean again. Help us never be content to live with a dirty mirror.
Lord, I love that you are working on us and transforming us into your image. Thank you that you are not finished with us yet but are constantly working to make us more like you. We give you permission to do just that in our lives. Keep changing us and moving us closer to you. Take us from glory to glory. Thank you for the journey we get to walk with you. Thank you for your Spirit that is always walking with us. Do your work in us. Change us, grow us, purify us. Make us more like you.
In Jesus name, amen.
