December 26, 2022 - Jeremiah 31:3

“I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.” Jeremiah 31:3 NLT

Lord, we praise you for how you love us. Your love runs deeper than we will ever comprehend here on earth. We ask that you continue to open our hearts and minds to receive it. Draw us closer and help us open our hearts up to more of you. We want to know your love more and more. We want it to be your love that motivates our walk with you. Let it be love that gives us the strength to overcome temptation. Let it be love that gives us the courage to step out of our comfort zones and follow you wherever you lead us. It is such a beautiful thing that can transform our life in an instant. We thank you for how perfect your love for us is even when we don’t deserve it. We thank you that you don’t require us to earn it, for we would never be able to live in a way that could earn your love. We praise you that you will never retract your love because of anything we do or don’t do. Your love is an everlasting love and will always be there for us; for you are love and don’t know how to do anything else.

Lord, we praise you for how you so freely give your love away. It could be called reckless how you love us. You don’t hold back and see if we will return your love. You don’t hold back to see if we will reject you or hurt you. You don’t hold back to see if we will be devoted to you and spend time with you. You don’t wait to see if we will really open our hearts and let you fully in. You love us unconditionally. How amazing! You give yourself and your love to us fully regardless of our actions. You love us unfailingly. We can count on it to be there all the time. We come to you today with open hearts and minds and ask for a deeper encounter with your love. We want to see it transform us and teach us to love the way you love.
