December 21, 2023 - John 1:10-14

“He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.” John 1:10-14 NLT

Jesus, we thank you for making a way for us to become children of God. We praise you that we only need to believe and accept you to have that right. It is so simple, yet so many in this world don’t understand. They don’t recognize you for the amazing savior that you are. This year show us how we can share you with others and draw them into believing and accepting you. Show us how to give the gift of your love to the world around us. We want to shine your light and glory brightly this Christmas.

Thank you for making a way for us to be reborn. Thank you for making us one with you. What a remarkable privilege and joy to be known by you as your son or daughter. We worship you for the beautiful gifts and blessings that you have poured over us. Help us not to overlook those blessings or take them for granted. We praise you for all the blessings and privileges that you have put all around us each day. We thank you for your unfailing love and faithfulness to us. We praise you that we get to see your glory. All praise to you for laying down your life to make that possible. You are too wonderful and amazing for us to hide you away. Let us shine you brightly for all to see your goodness and glory.

In Jesus name, amen.
