December 21, 2022 - Psalms 31:24
“Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD.” Psalms 31:24 NKJV
Lord, we praise you for this promise today. We desperately need your strength in our life, so help us learn to put our hope in you. Regardless of what the situation looks like, we never want to lose hope. Help us hold onto the fact that you are still a miracle worker, and you will work them for us. You see us and everything that is happening in our lives. You care about us and want the best for us. You want to do miracles for us and through us just like you did through people we read about in the Bible. Teach us how to have faith like they did. We never want our lack of faith or hope to limit what you can do in our lives. We know that to grow stronger, we must work our muscles. Life is like that, our relationship with you, our faith, our hope, our trust all need to be challenged & stretched so that they can grow. When we don’t see you move as quickly or in the way that we want, it might just be you stretching us so that we can grow. In those times, let us press in harder to you, and not lose hope.
Lord, for any of us that are going through a hard season, I do pray that you would be our strength. Strengthen our hearts so they can stay focused on you. We ask that you not allow us to weaken to the point that we begin to believe the lies of the enemy that you are not faithful or loving. Strengthen our hearts so that any lies that want to attack us with would not be able to penetrate. Give us the strength to face whatever stands before us and glorify you in all that we do. When we are weary and don’t feel we can go on, please carry us through. Show us if there is anything we need to change in our lives that is holding back your strength or allowing us to become weary. We thank you for the courage and strength that you are developing in us.
