December 2, 2023 - Isaiah‬ ‭46:3-4

““Listen to me, descendants of Jacob, all you who remain in Israel. I have cared for you since you were born. Yes, I carried you before you were born. I will be your God throughout your lifetime— until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.” Isaiah 46:3-4 NLT

Lord, we praise you for how you care for us and carry us. We are always safe in the palm of your hand. You know us intimately. You designed us, thought out every detail from how we look, to our personalities, to our talents. We were perfectly made by you. We are your treasured creation.

Thank you for how you will guard us as a valued possession for all our lives. Praise you for never leaving us. Thank you for constantly working in us and making us better. Thank you that the pain that we do experience isn’t because you quit caring for us. Thank you for how you will use it to grow us and make us stronger. Brand that truth into our hearts so that even in the hardest of times nothing can convince us of anything different. Help us to always maintain faith in you. Teach us how to find that place of rest in your hand even in the crazy hard seasons.

Lord, as we grow older and our hair does turn to gray, help us grow stronger and wiser. Help our relationship with you to be unwavering and our roots to be planted deeply in you. Show us how we can use our faith and knowledge to help others go deeper in you. We want to be able to use the hard seasons we have grown through to help others and care for them the way you care for us. Help us lead others to your saving grace and love. Father, we glorify your name.

In Jesus name, amen.
