December 19, 2024 - Psalms‬ ‭51‬:‭1‬-‭2‬, ‭7‬

“Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin. Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.” Psalms 51:1-2, 7 NLT

Lord, we praise you for your mercy. You are so good to us. Where would we be without your unfailing love? The way you love us and show compassion to us is beyond our comprehension. Thank you for how you gave your life to wash away our sins. Even when we find ourselves sinning multiple times a day, day after day, year after year, you offer forgiveness again and again. You are so faithful to us. We are so far from deserving your love and forgiveness, yet you offer it to us. We will praise you forevermore for your amazing grace, love, and mercy.

Come today and wash us clean yet again. Purify us. Change us and help us overcome the sin that we find ourselves struggling with. Help us to desire to walk in purity. Open our eyes to the sin that we don’t even realize that we are committing. Forgive us. Wash us whiter than snow. Do your transforming work in us and help us live a more righteous life for your glory. You are worthy of any changes we need to make in our lives. You are worthy of any sacrifices we need to make. We want to be more like you, no matter what the cost. Help us to live that out as a display of our love and appreciation for you.

In Jesus name, amen.
