December 15, 2021 - Isaiah‬ ‭35:8

“And a great road will go through that once deserted land. It will be named the Highway of Holiness. Evil-minded people will never travel on it. It will be only for those who walk in God’s ways; fools will never walk there.” Isaiah 35:8 NLT

Lord, we praise you for the really great things that come out of the hard times. Thank you that this verse says that one thing that will come out of our time in the desert is a great road to holiness. Your word also says that those who walk in purity and holiness will see you. That is what we want, God. We want to see you. We want to walk with you and know you intimately. We want you to come and share your secrets with us. We want to experience your love and friendship on deeper levels than we ever imagined. We want your presence to be so with us that when we walk into a room that the atmosphere changes, because people can feel you in us.

Lord, we know to experience you on that level, we must walk in holiness and purity. We want that in our lives. We want to lay down whatever it costs for more of you. We want to allow your fire to purify us. We ask that you come and do your work in us. Open our eyes to see the things that we need to allow you to deal with. Help us let go of anything we are struggling to do so with.

Lord, we don’t want to be the fools who do not allow you to do your work of holiness in us. Help us not to fight the process of holiness but be quick to allow you to freely work in us. Please help us be the ones who choose to walk in your ways. We choose obedience to anything you ask of us, regardless of the cost. For you are worthy of our all and we lay our lives before you again today. We want all of you and we thank you that you long to reveal yourself to us more than we long for it. Help us get to and keep ourselves in a place of purity, so that you can reveal more of yourself to us.
