December 14, 2024 - Isaiah‬ ‭9‬:‭2

“Those who walked in darkness have seen a radiant light shining upon them. They once lived in the shadows of death, but now a glorious light has dawned!” Isaiah 9:2 TPT

Lord, when we are in those seasons of darkness, let us remember to call out to you to light them up. We praise you that even if it feels like we are completely lost in the dark, if we cling to you, we will not be lost. We might not be able to see anything but you and have no idea what the way out is, but if we are holding onto you, we can rest in the fact that you will lead us out. One beautiful thing about clinging to you in the darkness is it opens our eyes to how radiant and amazing you are. The more we focus on you the brighter things get. The circumstance might not have changed, but our perspective of it does. We praise you for how you do that.

Lord, we don’t only want to learn to cling to you and bring your light into our dark situations, but we want to learn how to bring your light into the darkness of our world. When we are lost in the dark, we have the hope of knowing where to find the light. We have you. I can’t imagine those around the world who have no knowledge of you who face the darkness without you. How hopeless life must be for them. This is a tragedy that we have the solution to. Forgive us for not sharing you more with those who desperately need you. Even if they don’t think they need you, if we shine your glorious light into the darkness of the losts’ lives we will be surprised at how many are drawn to your light when they truly see it. Your light is glorious, a spectacular beacon of hope in the darkness. It is our duty and honor to shine you brightly into the world.

In Jesus name, amen.
