“Whatever builds up your faith and deepens your love must become your holy pursuit. And live in peace with all those who worship our Lord Jesus with pure hearts.” 2 Timothy 2:22b TPT
Jesus, we dedicate your lives to the holy pursuit of you. Even if we are in the minority, we choose to pursue you wholeheartedly. If it makes us unpopular, even among other “Christians”, or if it is uncomfortable and hard, we choose unpopular, uncomfortable, and hard if it means we get more of you. More of you is worth whatever it costs us.
Lord, we choose to be the minority who demonstrate purity and holiness at any cost. We will be the few who refuse to compromise. We will be the few who put the pursuit of you as our number one priority. We will be the few who look at sin and selfishness as something to eliminate in our lives at all costs. We want to see your face. Draw us in and show us more of you, Lord.
Make this the cry of the church. Draw us together in unity around the holy pursuit of you above anything else. Show us how to put aside our selfishness and pride so we can walk humbly with one another in your peace. Purify your bride, Lord. We ask that this time we are living in would be a “turning up of the heat” that truly separates the righteous from the unrighteous. Make the church the lighthouse on the hill that stands out as different from the culture around her. Let her light shine bright as you purify her so she can reflect you clearly. Make her holy. Let her start to influence culture for the positive again, because she made the holy pursuit of you her priority again. Lord, become our number one priority again and take your rightful place in our lives.
Lord, you are worthy, and we want to glorify you in all that we do.
In Jesus name, amen.
