December 13, 2024 - Psalms 50:10-12
“For all the animals of the forest are mine, and I own the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird on the mountains, and all the animals of the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for all the world is mine and everything in it.” Psalms 50:10-12 NLT
Lord, what a great God you are. The greatest. There is nothing that you are not over. You are supreme. You own everything and everything is under your authority. You have no lack. There is nothing you need. If you were hungry, you would not tell us, because what could we do to solve that problem. We are the dust of the earth, nothing compared to you. We praise you for your greatness. We praise you that you lack nothing. You are worthy of all our praise.
Lord, you are the Almighty God who needs nothing, but you are also a loving Father who wants the love of his children. You want to walk in a relationship with each of us. You created us for that purpose. You are not too arrogant and egotistical to see us. We might be the dust of the earth, but you used that dust to form every aspect of who we are. You are supreme overall, but you don’t walk in that authority in a prideful way, but in a humble, approachable, and loving way. You love to take all that you have and use it to bless us with. We praise you for your greatness. We praise you for how you love and care for us. You are truly a remarkable God. What an honor it is to serve you.
In Jesus name, amen.
