December 13, 2023 - 2 Timothy 2:22a
“Run as fast as you can from all the ambitions and lusts of youth; and chase after all that is pure.” 2 Timothy 2:22a TPT
Father, you are what our life is all about. Without you we would have nothing. This life is just a temporary place, not our home. You are our home, and we can’t wait to spend eternity in your presence. While we are waiting on heaven, teach us how to find as much of you as we can here. Help us align our lives to you and your ways. Show us the ambitions that we have that don’t glorify you or that don’t hold any true value. Show us the things that will not carry over to eternity. Open our eyes to the places where we have let the lusts of the earth pull us away from what really matters.
Lord, you are what we are living for. We want all of you. Jesus, we make room for you in our lives. Take your rightful place in our lives. Help us eliminate any pursuits, desires, or behaviors in our lives that are keeping us from knowing more of you. Give us pure hearts.
Lord, we want to run as fast as we can from sin that separates us from you. If we have put our pride or our plans above you, open our eyes to that. Your ways will always be better than our ways. Taking a journey with you is so much better than going our own way. We want to go with you and in your ways. Grow our faith and deepen our love for you so that everything in our lives flows out of those things. Let every area of our lives be dedicated to a holy pursuit of you. Open our eyes to any area that is holding us back from getting all you have for us here on earth. Help us eliminate it.
