August 9, 2024 - Galatians‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬-‭5

“Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.” Galatians 1:4-5 NLT

Jesus, we praise you for the sacrifice that you made for us. You did not deserve the price that you paid for our sins. Help us to never take the price that you paid for granted. We praise you that even from the beginning knowing that we would likely choose sin, you gave us free will. You knew that we would likely need salvation and yet you still chose to create us and give us free will. You had a plan that involved your death to make a way to restore us to you after we chose sin over you. Grow our desire and help us learn to choose you over sin. We praise you for your unbelievable love and grace that you continually extend to us when we do choose wrong.

Lord, you didn’t have to create us. You especially didn’t have to create us with the free will to walk away from you. We praise you that you loved us so much that you chose to create us with free will. We praise you for the plan that you had from the start to redeem us. We praise you for your sacrifice and your forgiveness. We praise you for being our rescuer. You are a beautiful and merciful God. What an honor it is to serve you. All praise to your name. We choose to live our life to bring you glory.

In Jesus name, amen.
