August 8, 2023 - Ephesians 1:9-11

“God has now revealed to us his mysterious will regarding Christ—which is to fulfill his own good plan. And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.” Ephesians 1:9-11 NLT

Lord, thank you so much that you have revealed to us your mysteries. What a privilege to be in on the plans of the Almighty God. We thank you that you ultimately have authority over everything. One day everything will bow before you and give you the honor you deserve. We count it an honor to choose to serve you with our lives. We want to commit to live our lives within your plan and not push against it.

Lord, we praise you that you are an organized and strategic planner. You know what you are doing! Things don’t just happen by chance. Yes, you have given us free will and we can make our own choices, but you have an amazing ability to work in our lives regardless of our decisions. You can take our negative decisions, as well as all the hurt and pain that other’s negative decisions cause us and turn the negative into something beautiful. You have a way of growing us through those things. It is amazing how you do that in our lives, but what is so remarkable is that you have a plan for every life on earth. You work in all our lives weaving together a beautiful tapestry that comes together as your plan.

We thank you for the inheritance that you have for us. We praise you that you will work your plan out and we can always trust in you and your plans. We praise you that your plans are always good. Grow our trust and our willingness to walk in immediate obedience to anything you ask of us. You are worthy of our “yes”!
