August 6, 2024 - Psalms‬ ‭31‬:‭7‬-‭8

“I will be glad and rejoice in your unfailing love, for you have seen my troubles, and you care about the anguish of my soul. You have not handed me over to my enemies but have set me in a safe place.” Psalms 31:7-8 NLT

Lord, we praise you for your unfailing love. No one else could ever love us in a way that compares to how you love us. We praise you for how you see us. You see every second of every day. You see not only what is on the outside, but you see into our souls. You understand our thoughts, our dreams, and our desires. You understand what influences how we feel and think. You understand these things even better than we do ourselves. You not only see us as the people that we are, with all our hurts and shortcomings, but you see us with the potential of being the person that you created us to be. You don’t see us as being stuck in those shortcomings, in the pain, or in the moments of anguish. You long to use those things to mature us and grow us into the lovely people that you designed us to be. You want to turn the pain and brokenness into something extraordinary. And you are astounding at doing that. We praise you for the way you bring healing and mold us into something so much more beautiful and stronger than we think is possible. You have such a gentle hand. Even when you correct us, you do it with so much grace. You are so patient with us. We praise you that you don’t hand us over to the enemy and walk away. You hold us in your hand and keep us safe. What a wonderful thing it is to call you Father and be loved by you. We surrender our life to you, for you are worthy of our everything.

In Jesus name, amen.
