August 5, 2023 - Isaiah‬ ‭60:22b‬

“At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” Isaiah 60:22b NLT

Jesus, that is such a simple, but profound statement. We thank you for the truth of it. You will make it happen. We just need to wait for your timing…and this is where the problem lies. Lord, help us learn to be more patient. You always have what is best for us, and you release it in the perfect timing. We thank you that you know us better than we know ourselves. You know the future. You know what is coming our way that we have no clue about. Of course, it makes sense to trust you.

Today, we take those things that we so desperately want, and we place them in your hands again. We give them back to you and say we trust you with them. We trust that if they are what is best for us, when the timing is right you will make them happen. All the dreams that we think have died, Lord, we thank you that you have the power to resurrect them when the timing is right. Help us have the patience to wait and the faith to keep believing.

Lord, forgive us for anything that we have tried to force to happen outside of you. We don’t want to take things into our own hands and go around you to make them happen. Even if we make them happen, they will never turn out as good as they would have if we would have waited for you. Show us any areas that we need to let go of and surrender to you. Help us lay them at your feet and trust you with them.

Thank you for seeing the desires and dreams that are hidden deep within us. You remember the ones that we have long since given up on and forgotten. Thank you that you are always working in the background to put everything in order to release in the perfect timing. Lord, you are so amazing to us. We declare today that we will have patience and wait on you.
