August 4, 2022 - Isaiah 25:9
“In that day they will say, “Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the Lord, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.” Isaiah 25:9 NIV
Lord, there are so many times in our lives when we can proclaim that we trusted you and you saved us. That is who you are and what you do. Again and again, you are there for us. We praise you that you are the definition of trustworthy. There is nothing that we can trust in more than you. You will never fail us. Even when things don’t turn out like we want, it isn’t because you failed us. Even when life mistreats us and we are left hurting, you didn’t fail us, and you will walk us through the pain. If we press into you during those seasons, you will allow it to deepen our relationship with you and strengthen us. We will eventually see you bring good out of it because that is what you do, and we can trust that truth.
Lord, help us to remember to rejoice and celebrate the times where you have saved us. We can look back and easily see the big things, but how many small things do you orchestrate during our day that we never slow down enough to see? Open our eyes to how you are working in our lives each day. We want to acknowledge those times and thank you. There are also so many ways that you are working in the background preventing things that we never knew could have been a problem. We also want to take time to thank you for all the ways you save us when we don’t even realize it. Lord, we think about how you created celebrations to remind the Israelites of the ways that you saved them from different situations. They needed the reminders, as do we. Show us how we can mark your faithfulness in our lives so we can easily see it when we need a reminder. Let us see those reminders and rejoice in your salvation. You are so faithful.
In Jesus name, amen.
