August 29, 2023 - Song of Songs‬ ‭1:8

“Listen, my radiant one— if you ever lose sight of me, just follow in my footsteps where I lead my lovers. Come with your burdens and cares. Come to the place near the sanctuary of my shepherds.” Song of Songs 1:8 TPT

Jesus, how amazing that you call us your radiant one. We thank you so much for how you love us. It is unbelievable that you choose to call us your beloved. Let us wake up each morning and choose to see ourselves as you see us. Help us truly believe that we are “your radiant one.” If you, who never lies, view us like that, then how can we think differently? Teach us how to tear down the lies of the enemy and the voices in our head that tell us things about ourselves that are contrary to your view of us.

Thank you so much that you never want us to lose sight of you. But if we do, you leave us a path to follow. A path that leads us to the place where you lead your lovers. How amazing. Yes, we want to follow you to the place where you will pour your love over us. Lord, we declare that we choose to follow you all the days of our lives. Following you is so worth it!

Lord, thank you for how you care for us. You want to carry our burdens. You don’t want us to carry the heaviness. Help us learn to release the things that burden us to you. Teach us to let them go and not pick them back up again, for we can trust you to take care of them. We can trust you to take care of us. You are a faithful and trustworthy God. What an honor to serve you. Teach us to calm ourselves down and just rest in the sanctuary that you have prepared for each of us. Let us learn to sit with you and pour out our love over you the way you do for us. You are the lover of our souls and such an amazing God.
