August 28, 2024 - Galatians‬ ‭3‬:‭24‬-‭25

“Let me put it another way. The law was our guardian until Christ came; it protected us until we could be made right with God through faith. And now that the way of faith has come, we no longer need the law as our guardian.” Galatians 3:24-25 NLT

Jesus, we praise you for coming to earth and dying for us. Your death accomplished so many great things for us. We don’t deserve what you did for us, but we will spend eternity praising you for it. We praise you that your death set us free from the law. The law provided guidance and protection, but we always fell short in keeping the law. We are grateful to have been set free from the bondage of the law. We thank you for your grace that we now walk in. We praise you for the freedom you have provided for us. Any time shame arises in our lives and tries to trick us into thinking that we live under the law, help us to overcome it with your truth.

Lord, help us learn to walk in the freedom your death on the cross provided us. Teach us how to live our lives for you and your glory. Teach us how to love you like you love us. Grow our desire to walk in righteousness and run from sin. Not because the law tells us to, but because we long to be more like you. Help us live humbly and be quick to ask for forgiveness when we need to. Help us accept your forgiveness and grace and help us to be quick to give it to others as you do to us. We praise you again for your death and the price you paid to set us free.

In Jesus name, amen.
