August 23, 2023 - Romans‬ ‭12:11-12

“Be enthusiastic to serve the Lord, keeping your passion toward him boiling hot! Radiate with the glow of the Holy Spirit and let him fill you with excitement as you serve him. Let this hope burst forth within you, releasing a continual joy. Don’t give up in a time of trouble, but commune with God at all times.” Romans 12:11-12 TPT

Lord, we want to be known by you as your enthusiastic servants. We want to joyfully run after you, pursuing you like young lovers pursue one another. Let our passion for you be boiling hot. When it starts to cool down, Lord, we ask for you to stir the fire under us. Keep it burning hot, so that we will burn hot for you. Forgive us if we have allowed life & passivity to steal our passion, or if we have allowed the fire to burn out. Show us what we need to do to add more fuel and stir it back up again. We want to serve you with passion and excitement.

Jesus, we declare that we love you. You are the one that we want more than anything else. We are in love with you. We adore you. Claim the number one spot in our lives. We surrender it to you. Let our love for you run passionately hot. Let us find that first love again. We want to be giddy over you, Jesus.

Lord, this verse says that we can have continual joy. How wonderful that sounds. We thank you for your joy. We ask for more of it. Regardless of what life around us looks like, help us keep our eyes focused on you. Help us fall more and more in love with you. Help us find that place of communing with you all the time. Help us walk in your continuous joy. Let your hope always be busting out of us.

Lord, we thank you that you want to see these things in us. We thank you for releasing them in us today.

In Jesus name, amen.
