August 20, 2023 - John 15:16
“You didn’t choose me, but I’ve chosen and commissioned you to go into the world to bear fruit. And your fruit will last, because whatever you ask of my Father, for my sake, he will give it to you!” John 15:16 TPT
Lord, how wonderful to be chosen by you. It’s such a beautiful honor. We are your chosen, your beloved. You didn’t get stuck with us. You designed us, handcrafted us, and then chose us to be your own. Thank you for the privileges that come along with being called by you. Help us learn what those privileges are and show us how to walk confidently in them. Help us not to allow the enemy to keep us from walking in the fullness of who you say we are. Open our eyes to the places we are believing and walking in lies. Then give us the strategy and confidence to overcome those lies and live as the overcomer you called us to be.
Lord, thank you that you have commissioned each of us to a task that is just for us to accomplish. What an honor to have a mission from you. We ask for you to continue to guide us in fulfilling that mission.
Lord, help us not to just bear fruit, but let us produce a huge abundance of fruit for you. Let us walk in faith and believe you for big things. Grow our roots deep. Strengthen them and let them grab hold so when the wind blows, we will not be moved. Let us go deep and find the nutrients needed to produce a large amount of healthy fruit. Grow our trunk and branches strong, so they can handle the weight of the fruit that we will produce. Grow us. Strengthen us. Stretch us. When necessary, put us in the droughts that force us to deepen our roots and dig in deeper.
Give us the strategies needed to multiply our fruit. Thank you that you say when we ask you for these things that you will do it. Thank you, Father. Thank you for saying that our fruit will be lasting fruit. We stand on that.
