August 18, 2024 - Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭1‬-‭3‬

“But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” Isaiah 43:1-3 NLT

Lord, we praise you for being the loving God who formed each one of us. We didn’t happen by accident. You formed every detail of who we are. And even though we were born into a sin cursed world with all its issues, you came to earth and died so that we could be redeemed to you. We praise you that you paid the ransom for our lives. You long to see us made whole and are working in us to transform us into who you created us to be. We praise you for being with us always. How wonderful that no matter what we face, you are with us. No matter what trouble we find ourselves in, you still call us your own. You never promised us life would be perfect, but you said you would always be with us. We praise you for walking through the fire with us. We praise you that we won’t drown in the storms and floods. Help us remember this when we feel like life is trying to overtake and destroy us. We can stand on the fact that you are always with us, and you will not allow us to be consumed. We praise you our Lord and God. You are worthy of all praise, our God, the Holy One of Israel, our Savior! All praise be to your name.

In Jesus name, amen.
