August 18, 2023 - Psalms 145:1-7
“I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever. I will praise you every day; yes, I will praise you forever. Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness. Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power. I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor and your wonderful miracles. Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; I will proclaim your greatness. Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness; they will sing with joy about your righteousness.” Psalms 145:1-7 NLT
Lord, you are forever worthy of all our praises. We declare that nothing compares to your majestic, glorious splendor. You are truly marvelous. We thank you for your beauty. We thank you for your love. We thank you for your sovereignty. We thank you for your holiness. Open our eyes and reveal more of who you are to us, oh Lord.
Lord, we know that your eyes are like flames of fire. Your hair is white as wool. Your voice sounds like water. The train of your robe fills the temple. Like the angels and living creatures, we cry out, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty.” Jesus, you are so worthy of all the glory and honor. Only you are worthy to be worshiped by every tribe and people. We thank you that the whole earth is filled with your glory. Open our eyes to see and recognize your glory all around us. Teach us how to live our lives in a way that we reveal your glory to those around us. As we see more and more of your glory, give us a desire to meditate on it and dive deeper into growing our knowledge of who you are. Increase our understanding of you and how we can be transformed to be more like you. Let everything about our lives proclaim your greatness and wonderful goodness to the world. Worthy, worthy, worthy are you, our Lord. We give you our everything.
