August 14, 2024 - Psalms‬ ‭30‬:‭11‬-‭12

“You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever!” Psalms 30:11-12 NLT

Hallelujah, Lord! We praise you that mourning only lasts for a night. You will always give us reason to rejoice again. Thank you that you will sit and mourn with us, but you will also bring us through those seasons and teach us how to dance with you again. You will fill us with joy again. You will bring healing where we need it. You will put our song back in us. Lord, in the hard seasons of loss and mourning, help us cling to those truths. Help us hold tight to you. Don’t let us get lost in the darkness but help us to always keep our eyes focused on you in those seasons. Keep your light shining on us.

Lord, remind us that even in the mourning we have reasons to sing praises to you. Give us to sing your praises even in the darkest of nights. That is where we will find the light. We commit to praising you before our breakthroughs and trust they are coming. We trust in you and your promises. We declare that we will not be silent. We will lift our praises to you. We will give thanks to you, for you are worthy. We will praise you in every season and forevermore!

In Jesus name, amen.
