“Then Jesus said, “I am light to the world, and those who embrace me will experience life-giving light, and they will never walk in darkness.”” John 8:12 TPT

Jesus, we thank you so much for your light. Thank you that you are light and where you are light naturally is. How beautiful. We are so thankful for your brightness. Darkness simply cannot exist in the presence of your light. It sends the darkness running. What incredible power your light holds.

Thank you for the freedom and joy that comes with living in the light! Help us to always embrace you and your light. Come light up every corner of our lives. Drive out all the darkness. Show us the places that we are trying to hide in the darkness. Help us desire to expose them to your light. As we see these areas, we ask for forgiveness the things we are trying to hide and keep in the darkness. Teach us to hate the darkness and to not allow it to remain in our lives. We want your life-giving light in all of us. Forgive us for believing the lie that we need to keep anything hidden in the dark. It is a trick of the enemy to keep us in bondage. He keeps us living in fear that if anyone finds out it will ruin us. Yes, there might be consequences, but we will never find freedom unless we are willing to bring it into the light. They will always have power over us if we keep them in the dark. Forgive us for giving into fear and allowing them to stay hidden in the dark. Also, forgive us for the sins we hide because we don’t want to give them up. Take away the pleasure that we are finding in these things and give us a desire to run from them.

Jesus, you have called us to be your lights in the world. Make us a pure representative of your light and let us shine your light into all the world, driving out the darkness.
