August 1, 2024 - Psalms‬ ‭31‬:‭23‬-‭24

“Love the Lord, all you godly ones! For the Lord protects those who are loyal to him, but he harshly punishes the arrogant. So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord!” Psalms 31:23-24 NLT

Lord, we declare our love for you. Let it not just be something that our mouth declares but let the way we live our life declare our love for you. Let all that we are be about loving you. We want you to be our first love and the highest priority of our life. We want to be loyal to you and commit to walking in obedience to all you ask of us. We praise you for how you love us and care for us. How can we not do the same back to you. Thank you for your hand of protection that is over our lives. You are such an amazing God.

Lord, we ask for you to help us uproot anything from our lives that isn’t pleasing to you. Help us live a humble life. Keep pride and arrogance far from us. Help us to never raise up in pride and try to steal glory from you. Help us not to live to please ourselves or other people but live to honor and glorify you in all we do. Jesus, teach us to walk like you. You were amazingly humble and loving yet were also very strong and courageous. Help us live to be a reflection of you here on earth. You are worthy of our everything. We place our lives in your hands, our hope is grounded in you, our Lord.
