August 1, 2023 - Psalms‬ ‭119:1-5

“You’re only truly happy when you walk in total integrity, walking in the light of God’s Word. What joy overwhelms everyone who keeps the ways of God, those who seek him as their heart’s passion! They’ll never do what’s wrong but will always choose the paths of the Lord. God has prescribed the right way to live - obeying his laws with all our hearts. How I long for my life to bring you glory as I follow each and every one of your holy precepts!” Psalms 119:1-5 TPT

Lord, we want to follow closely in your ways, always walking in complete integrity. Please draw us into your word more. We want to know it so we can walk in its light. Let it guide our every step. Let it bring us true joy. Let it guard us from what the enemy would love to use to destroy us.

Verse 2 says that we can be overwhelmed by your joy if we keep your way. Increase the desire within us to run from sin and things that are not your desire for us. We want to focus on hearing your voice and walking into obedience to everything you ask of us. Let our lives be about seeking you more and more. As this verse says, let it be our heart’s passion.

Lord, we want to always choose your path. Help guard us from getting distracted by things that want to take us off course. Let it be said about us, “They never do what’s wrong.” Lord, we don’t just want man to say that about us, for they only see a part of our lives and often only what we want them to see. Lord, we want to hear you say that about us, for you see it all.

Let our lives be about following each of your holy precepts. We don’t want to overlook anything because it is hard or uncomfortable. Let your Word change us from the inside out. Let our life bring you glory.
