“You must faithfully keep all my commands by putting them into practice, for I am the Lord. Do not bring shame on my holy name, for I will display my holiness among the people of Israel. I am the Lord who makes you holy. It was I who rescued you from the land of Egypt, that I might be your God. I am the Lord.” Leviticus 22:31-33 NLT
Lord, we praise you that you are our Lord. You are our faithful God who rescues us. We praise you for how you chose us and call us your own. What an honor to be loved and cherished by you. Draw us closer and help us love you the way you love us. Let our love for you motivate us to keep your commandments. Let us long to walk in righteousness because it brings you joy and honors you. We never want to bring shame to your name. That isn’t how we treat someone we love. Change us to be more like you. Uproot sin and transform our desires to be those that please you. We want to be a display of your holiness to the people of the world. Make us a lighthouse that shines your light brightly into the darkness and leads the lost to your saving grace. Help us desire to stand out and look different than the world around us. We want the world to know that you are our God. You are worthy of all that we are. We pour our love on you. You are worthy of all our praises.
In Jesus name, amen.
