April 3, 2022 - Hosea 14:9
“Who is wise? Let them realize these things. Who is discerning? Let them understand. The ways of the LORD are right; the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.” Hosea 14:9 NIV
Lord, we thank you that your ways are always right. Not mostly right most of the time, but you are 100% right, 100% of the time. You are always just, righteous, holy, all-knowing, and loving. We can always trust and count on you. Even when we don’t understand “why” we can still trust you. We praise you for the assurance that comes with being able to put everything in your hands and leave it there. We can rest in that fact.
Lord, help us grow into wise and discerning people. We want to know you and understand your ways. Give us your insight and wisdom. Increase our discernment of spiritual things. Give us more understanding of supernatural things. Your word says if we ask for wisdom you will give it to us in abundance. We stand on that promise today and ask for your abundance of wisdom to be poured out on our lives.
Lord, help us walk confidently on your path in righteousness trusting in your ways. Keep us on the straight and narrow path. Guard us from distractions that would have us wander off course and lose our way. We don’t even want to allow that for a second. Keep us from taking a rebellious path. Guard us from stumbling. Lord, and if we do find ourselves in a place of stumbling, regardless of how big the fall was, help us be so quick to run to you so you can clean us up and get us back on the path of the righteous. We praise you that nothing is too big for you to make right. We praise you for your ability to fix whatever we mess up. We praise you for how you want us to succeed, and you want to help us do that. You are such an amazingly good and loving God.
In Jesus name, amen.
