April 28, 2024 - 1 Peter 4:19

“So then, those who suffer for following God’s will should enfold their lives into the Creator, who will never fail them, and continue to always do what is right.” 1 Peter 4:19 TPT

Lord, we would love it if when we choose to follow you, life becomes easy and perfect, but that is not how it works. We will still go through hardship and suffer when we follow you. At times we will go through those things because we follow you. But the beauty is that when we go through the hard times you are there with us. If we allow you, you will carry us through. Lord, we want that. Teach us how to live our lives enfolded into you. In those hardest seasons, teach us how to keep our eyes locked onto you. Teach us how to worship you even when everything and everyone says we should blame you and walk away. No, Lord, you are always worthy. You will never fail us. You will always do what is right by us. You will never leave us or forsake us.

What does it mean to enfold our lives into you? Help us walk that out. There is no one who can compare to you and your love for us. Let us find our every need in you. Plug us into you fully. We don’t want to get our hope, our strength, our value, our answers from anyone other than you. You are our hope. You are our strength. You created us and you know us intimately. You find us highly valuable and will never overlook us. We praise you. Even in the hard seasons, we will keep our eyes focused on you. We will lift your name on high. For you are always worthy, even when we are suffering. You are faithful and you will carry us through. You are our one and only. No one compares to how good you are to us. We give our all to you. Worthy, worthy, worthy are you. All praise to your name.

In Jesus name, amen.
