April 27, 2024 - Hebrews 1:3
“The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.” Hebrews 1:3 NLT
Jesus, we praise your holy name. You are worthy of all of our praise. There is none more worthy than you. You may have come to earth as a man, but you are fully God. You radiate God’s glory. Shine your glory on us. Let it change us. Let it heal us and restore us as we look to you. You express the very character of God. What a beautiful thing. Jesus, when we look at how you lived your life here on earth it was amazing. You poured out love and acceptance to everyone you encountered. The outcasts and the sinners, even those who were against you, you poured out love and healing too. You saw them deeply. Not the masks they put up on the outside, but you saw their hearts. What an amazing picture you paint us of the character of God. What hope that gives us. God, you are not a distant, uninvolved God. You are the God who sees us and loves us. What a wonderful thing to be truly seen by you. We praise you for how you see us and love us so deeply. You love us purely. Every other love will fall short of your love. Nothing compares.
Jesus, thank you for loving us enough to die for us. Thank you for paying the price for our sins. You are perfect and didn’t deserve punishment, yet you took our punishment. How can we ever thank you enough? What a privilege that we have all eternity to praise your name. We can bow before your throne, seeing you in all your glory, honor, and majesty, and pour out our worship to you. We can’t wait for that day. You are so worthy. All glory to your name forever and ever. Hallelujah!
