April 24, 2024 - 2 Corinthians 3:17-18

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. We all, with unveiled faces, are looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 CBS

Lord, we come before you today and want to behold you. We want to rest in your presence and see your glory. We invite you to come and do your work in us. Transform us. Make us more like you. We want to look in the mirror and see a reflection of you. You made us in your image, but we are so good at walking in selfishness and lies that sadly dirty us, so we don’t stand as a clear reflection of you. Holy Spirit, we desperately need you to come and guide us. This verse declares that where you are there is freedom. Surround us and walk with us always. Help us long to walk in the freedom that you have provided for us. Let the longing in us be greater than our longing to walk into sin. Let your truth ring louder than the lies that want to entrap us. You have set us free, and we want to walk in that freedom.

We invite you to purify us and remove all our blemishes. We want to be able to reflect you beautifully to the world around us. Take us from glory to glory with you. We praise you that this is what you long to be our reality. You want to see us reflecting you and moving from one glory to the next. Spirit, walk with us and lead us from glory to glory. Open our eyes to see your glory all around us in every situation. Lord, we know that going from glory to glory doesn’t mean that we never experience hardship, but it means that even when we are surrounded by the darkest of nights, we can live in your glory and be filled with your light. Oh, Lord, we praise you for this. How marvelous! You are glorious and we want our lives to reflect that glory to the world.

In Jesus name, amen.
