April 23, 2022 - Romans 8:3-4
“The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.” Romans 8:3-4 NLT
Father, your love for us is so amazing. We can never thank you enough for sending Jesus to give his life for us. Jesus, we also cannot begin to thank you for all you laid down to rescue us. You left heaven to come to earth as a human. You willingly limited yourself to human limitations to live as we lived. You can relate to the struggles that we felt. What an amazing love that you have for us. You showed us the way to live. We praise you for your sacrifices. We praise you for the amazing way that you love us.
Lord, we thank you that because of your sacrifice for us, we no longer must live under the law, but we live under your grace. What a remarkable blessing! We praise you for your grace in our lives. We praise you for not only forgiving our sins, but then erasing them. You choose to forget them. That is hard for us to wrap our minds around, but we praise you for the truth that it is. We praise you that once you forgive, we no longer must live under them or their labels. We are forever indebted to you for the price you paid to set us free. Praise you that sin no longer has control over our lives. You have won that battle and your power is in us to continue to overcome. We praise you that you gave us your Spirit to follow. Thank you, Holy Spirit, that you lead and guide us. You help us overcome. All praise, honor, and glory to you forever and ever for all you have done for us.
