April 22, 2022 - Micah 7:15-17
““Yes,” says the LORD, “I will do mighty miracles for you, like those I did when I rescued you from slavery in Egypt.” All the nations of the world will stand amazed at what the LORD will do for you. They will be embarrassed at their feeble power. They will cover their mouths in silent awe, deaf to everything around them. Like snakes crawling from their holes, they will come out to meet the LORD our God. They will fear him greatly, trembling in terror at his presence.” Micah 7:15-17 NLT
Lord, we praise you for how you make yourself known. You are not a silent or removed God. You are the living, breathing, all powerful God, who loves to interact with us. You love to use us and show yourself to and through us. What an honor and privilege. Thank you so much.
Lord, I believe that you want to use us so much more than we allow you to. Our lack of faith so often limits your ability to work through us. You want the world to know you. You want to show your power and your love to the world. We want to be willing vessels that you can use to do that. Grow our faith in your desire to do miracles and your desire to use us. Help us overcome the fear of not praying the big prayers. Forgive us for the times that we don’t ask for the miracles because we don’t want to face the disappointment if you don’t answer. If we don’t ask then you won’t answer. We know that just because we ask for a miracle doesn’t mean that you will answer in the way that we asked, but don’t let the lack of miracles be because we didn’t ask with faith. This verse declares that you want to show your great power and do miracles though us. Lord, we want to be the vessels that people can see your mighty miracles flow through. Let our lives declare to everyone around us just exactly how powerful you are. We want to be a part of the world around us standing amazed at what you can do for them.
In Jesus name, amen.
